Match summary
Toluca secured a dramatic late victory over Club Queretaro at Estadio La Corregidora, prevailing 2-1 in a Liga MX encounter marked by significant disciplinary events. Despite playing a man down for the majority of the match following D. Barbosa's red card in the 31st minute, Toluca showed resilience. Queretaro capitalized on the numerical advantage, with A. Avila opening the scoring just before halftime, assisted by himself. The second half saw Toluca fight back, with Helinho netting an equalizer in the 65th minute. The decisive blow came in the dying moments of regulation time, as F. Vinas found the back of the net to seal a hard-fought three points for the visitors, leaving Queretaro to rue their missed opportunities and Toluca to celebrate a remarkable away win.
