Match summary
Estadio La Corregidora bore witness to a hard-fought Liga MX encounter as Club Queretaro and Leon played out a 1-1 draw. The match was a cagey affair, with several yellow cards peppering the proceedings, notably for Queretaro's Bayron Duarte and Lucas Abascia in the first half. Leon drew first blood in the 54th minute when Daniel Arcila found the back of the net, a breakthrough that spurred Queretaro into action. Just six minutes later, Iker Benito Sánchez responded for the hosts, converting a well-crafted assist from Mateo Coronel to level the score. Despite further substitutions and late bookings, including for Leon's Ivan Moreno and Santiago Londono, neither side could find a decisive late winner, ultimately sharing the spoils in a result that leaves both teams with plenty to ponder.
