Match summary
Velez Sarsfield delivered a dominant performance at the Estadio Alfredo Terrera, securing a resounding 5-0 victory over Central Cordoba de Santiago in the Liga Argentina. The visitors laid the foundation for their win early, with Matías Pellegrini opening the scoring in the seventh minute, assisted by Ronaldo Martinez. Martinez himself then doubled Velez's advantage in the 21st minute. The second half saw Velez continue their relentless attack, with Martinez completing his hat-trick with goals in the 58th and 83rd minutes, the former set up by Juan Cruz Policella. Lucas Robertone added a fourth in the 61st minute to further demoralize the hosts. Despite late red cards for both sides – Alejandro Maciel for Central Cordoba and Rodrigo Aliendro for Velez – the damage was already done, with Velez Sarsfield comfortably claiming all three points.
