Austria secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Israel at the Raiffeisen Arena in their UEFA Nations League encounter. The first half saw a tightly contested affair with several yellow cards issued to both sides, before Romano Schmid broke the deadlock for Austria in the 43rd minute. Israel found an equalizer shortly after the restart through Sayd Abu Farhi in the 55th minute, but their celebrations were short-lived as Abu Farhi was sent off just a minute later, reducing them to ten men. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Israel held firm for a period, but Austria ultimately capitalized on their advantage. Phillipp Mwene, assisted by Paul Wanner, restored Austria's lead in the 90th minute, and Sasa Kalajdzic, set up by Christoph Lang, added a third in stoppage time to seal a deserved win.
