Match summary
Estadio Jalisco bore witness to a pulsating Liga MX encounter as Atlas and Guadalajara Chivas played out a dramatic 1-1 draw. The first half saw a flurry of yellow cards, with Juan Sánchez, Richard Ledezma, and Daniel Aguirre all cautioned, signaling a tightly contested affair. Atlas broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute when Kevin Zenon, expertly set up by Paulo Ramirez, found the back of the net. However, the momentum shifted in the latter stages. Ángel Sepúlveda leveled the score for Chivas in the 76th minute, and remarkably, struck again in the 86th, assisted by Brian Gutierrez, to seemingly snatch victory. Despite a late red card for Kevin Castañeda, the visitors held on, securing a hard-fought point in a match punctuated by tactical substitutions and fierce competition.
