Match summary
Club Queretaro secured a significant 3-1 victory over Atlas at Estadio Jalisco in a Liga MX encounter marked by a dramatic red card and a brace from S. Homenchenko. Despite an early substitution for Atlas in the 12th minute, the hosts found an equalizer through C. Garcia in the 42nd minute, cancelling out Homenchenko's opener just minutes prior. However, the complexion of the match shifted dramatically in the 52nd minute when Atlas's M. Capasso was sent off. This numerical advantage allowed Club Queretaro to regain control, with Homenchenko completing his brace in the 70th minute, assisted by I. Benito. C. Garcia then sealed the win for the visitors in the 76th minute, with A. Alcala providing the assist, despite multiple late substitutions from both sides.
